EU Savings Directive
The EU Savings Directive affects all residents of EU Countries (including the UK) who receive income or interest on savings or investments held in another EU country
Exchange of information
Although Guernsey is not an EU member, the Guernsey financial authorities have adopted automatic exchange of information with regard to the sharing of information. The information we provide includes your full name and address, account number (s), date and place of birth, tax identification number (if known) and the amount of interest added to your accounts.
Your interest
We pay any interest you receive on your savings with Clydesdale Bank International gross and, for those outside the EU, it is your responsibility to declare any interest you earn to the appropriate tax authority in your country of residence.
