**Available to personal clients (but not trusts, partnerships or limited companies). To qualify for the card you must have a regular income mandated to your offshore current account. This can be your salary or a regular payment from an onshore account. The minimum balance should be maintained at all times. If you fall below the minimum balance; a monthly maintenance fee may be applied to your account, as detailed in the table of charges. This is not a credit card. No credit is offered on the account and no credit facilities can be assumed.  We apply criteria to the granting of an application and for UK clients, we undertake a credit search.

The Scheme offers protection for ‘qualifying deposits’ up to £ 50,000, subject to certain limitations. The maximum total amount of compensation is capped at £100,000,000 in any 5 year period.

There is currently no Financial Services Ombudsman Scheme operational in Guernsey. Deposits with Clydesdale Bank International are not covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme established in the UK under the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000, nor are deposits with Clydesdale Bank International covered by any equivalent scheme in any other jurisdiction.
