Gavin Slater joined the National Australia Bank in 1999 from PriceWaterhouseCoopers and progressed through various senior roles up until his appointment as Chief Financial Officer for the Australian Bank in April 2003.
Thereafter, Gavin was Group General Manager responsible for the remedial program following the foreign currency options trading losses. This led to his current appointment as Executive Director, National Australia Group Europe.
Gavin's career spans 20 years in the financial services industry across multiple geographies, financial services and advisory companies. His experience represents a blend of business development customer-facing roles, finance and project roles.
Gavin is a Fellow of the Certified Practising Accountants with a degree in Business Economics and a Post Graduate Certificate in Business Administration. He is also a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia.
